So Many Me

Every now and then I find a game that is completely out of the ordinary in terms of what I usually play, and it captivates me and leads to hours of fun that I never would have thought I’d have.  So Many Me is one of those games!

Developed by ORiGO GAMES, So Many Me is a charming and adorable platforming adventure game that also contains a sense of humor that will always leave you chuckling.  Early on, the main character Filo inadvertently clones himself which he refers to as other ME.  He then teams up with his fellow ME to save the world.  As the game progresses, new wrinkles keep getting added to the levels, but never without a way to balance out each new addition.  By utilizing new abilities and a great amount of trial and error, all of these obstacles are able to be conquered.

The ME are forced to work together in a way that often requires one of them using an ability (which leaves it locked in place on the map) and the others continuing on without it, only to return some time later once a switch has been flipped, or a different ability has been obtained.  This sense of teamwork spread across the map reminds me of fellow platforming game ilomilo.

ilomilo

This in no way a bad comparison, as ilomilo was a platformer that stood out among the crowd, and So Many Me, though made by different companies, feels like a spiritual successor to it.  Throw in an abundance of expertly designed levels to (team)work your way through and you’ve got the best platformer since Rayman Legends!

So Many Me is currently free through August 15 via Games with Gold on Xbox One.  I highly recommend getting your thumbs on it and taking it for a cute and thoroughly enjoyable spin
